Adventure with the riveras

My first time visiting...Taco bell look out....there is a new taco general in town. It was authentic food...delicious. I recommend the shrimp taco, chicken taco, beef taco. Their beef burrito was also great and huge.... I would definitely eat their again....😋😋

We decided to check out this local Mexican food place and it did not disappoint! There was a line but the food was served quickly and was tasty. Food wasn’t too expensive for all that we got either!

This place is for the person wanting great authentic Mexican food for a very reasonable price. Food is so great they will have a line out the door regularly and it’s not because of lack of help. Best in Athens. Order food at counter and get a drink from the cooler. They also have some awesome Tres Leches cake.

This is a Mexican restaurant NOT Tex-Mex. First time visiting. We were greeted with a friendly smile. It’s a hole in the wall type of restaurant. Love the variety of the options. Everything we tried was good and portions are big. Will definitely keep in mind next time we’re in town. Lunch time is SUPER busy but still, the employees try to prepare your food as fast as possible. The place is clean. They give you 2 options of salsa with your order. The red salsa is the spiciest one.

BEST tacos in Athens hands down Everything here is amazing but if you have to narrow it down to three tacos, get the chicken, steak, and chorizo. The tacos are filled with flavor but watch out for the sauces that come with them. They will light your tongue on fire if you aren’t careful. 2-3 tacos per person and chips and salsa and/or guacamole to share among 4 people makes for an awesome, tasty, and super affordable meal. Each taco is around $2.50 and comes with the fixings unless you specially request to not have them. I’ve only been during the past year and there is only outdoor seating but everything is packed to-go if you want to take it home instead. This restaurant is near Southern Brewing Company and is the perfect meal to eat while listen to music and drinking beer. Update: we have not tried the sopes (a light, fried, round of dough piled with meat, lettuce, and cheese) and the burritos and they are also amazing. Everything on the menu is wonderful.
